60 -263 <br />Selectmen's Meeting - February 12, 1996 <br />One --D Auctioneer's Licenses <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the application of Empire oriental <br />Rugs, Inc. for a one -day Auctioneer License for March 10, 1996 at the Massachusetts National <br />Guard Armory. <br />Upon notion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the application of Newton <br />Oriental rugs for a one-day Auctioneer License for March 17, 1996 at the Massachusetts rational <br />Guard Armory. <br />Report on Hanscom Area Towns Meetin s <br />Mr. Fenn reported that a letter from Steve Toceo did not respond to the four town's request for a <br />6 month moratorium on the RFP for privatization at Hanscom Field in order to initiate discussion <br />to fashion a strategy for a viable long -term policy. The four towns decided to send a letter to the <br />Governor asking him to meet with representatives of the four boards. The letter has been signed <br />by Mr. McSweeney and is on its way to the other Towns to be signed tonight. It is the hope of <br />the four boards that the Governor will meet with us to reinforce the Town's concerns about the <br />long effects of an e of develop (aviation or non - aviation g �` Yp p ) at Hanscom Field and a <br />need for long -term stability. <br />All Board members expressed their pleasure at the tremendous participation and cooperation <br />among the Selectmen of the four Towns. <br />Upoji motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adj ourn at 8:55 p. m. <br />A true record, Attest: <br />Phyli A.
