Samoylenko, Trustee of The Lexington McTrs, and <br /> Herbert Eisenberg, Architect, represented the applicants. Excsept for the <br /> Cinema sign, the signs are to be of dark brown stained xood with incised <br /> carved gold leaf letters. Is Bellecour Restaurant sign is to be the first <br /> sign on Hussey Street, a 16" sign with 8" letters of two panels over the <br /> first txo bay windoxs, and to be flush against the xood panels. The Little <br /> Professor Book Center sign is to be on the parking lot elevation, have an <br /> 18" panel, 3" letters for the words "Little Professor", aril 8" letters for <br /> the words "Book Center". The sign for A~bother Earth Natural Foods will be <br /> similar to the above txo signs. The sign for Lois Ernst Associ.atea, Real- <br /> tors, is to be a 3' x 3' sign beside the door as that office is to be up- <br /> stairs and it Tres decided that the center of the sign should be at least <br /> 4' shave ground level. Then followed considerable discntssion on the sign <br /> for the Lexington Mews Cinema. The words "Lexdngton Mews Cinema" are to be <br /> raised letters on a dark brown stain metal backboard acrd below that would <br /> be either two shorter rows or one long rox of back lighted fluorescent meta]. <br /> box for advertising coming attractiorsa. The overall height world be 3' and <br /> the sign would be belox the roofline. Gooseneck lights would be installed <br /> above the sign. It was decided that new draxings should be submitted for <br /> that sign. The hear3.ngs were ad3ourned at 10e25 P.M. <br /> An ad3ourned hearing on the exterior Roof Plar?s of Ths Lexington Mexs <br /> <br /> was held at 30x25 P.M. Mr. Eisenberg said that three air conditioning units <br /> and a kitchen exhaust fan have been added to the roof and that all units <br /> are 4' in height and will not exceed any of the pitched roofs. The members <br /> of the Commission approved installation of these additional roof units on <br /> the flat roof. Samples of txo lights were submitted, three to be on the <br /> Muzzey Street elevation and three on the parking lot elevation. The light <br /> preferred by Mrs. Samoylenko and the members of the Commission i.s Prescow <br /> light Landscape Light X902. Mrs. 3amflylenko said that a 4" x 4" champered <br /> wood post with light o» top might be desired for the front entrance. The <br /> size lights and the post light ware all approved. It wee stated that the <br /> fence oa the parking lot elevation had been removed and a cement walk with <br /> granite curbing had been installed and that a bicycle reek will be installed <br /> there. It was stated that the Town will resurface the Mnszey Street side <br /> walk Trith either blacktop or concrete but not with a brick walk. Shrubbery <br /> will be installed in three areas in front of the bnildir>g acrd, if approved <br /> by the Board. of Appeals, a standing Directory sign will be installed in the <br /> center shrubbery area. The hearing Tres adjourned at 11:1++ P.M. <br /> A hearing was held at iit15 P.M. on the application of The Lezington <br /> Mews Trust for txo Directory signs for the building at 10-12 Muzzey Street <br /> which is within the Battle Green District. Mr. Jaquith head the legal no- <br /> tice and application. Mrs. Samoylsnko said that the signs would be 3' wide <br /> by 5' high and double Paced xith sma11 removable name plates. The hearing <br /> was adfourned at 1is50 P.M. <br /> <br />
