Jaquith, Chairman, said, "I hereby ad3ourn all hearings scheduled for the <br /> Selectman`s Meeting Room on July 1$, 1973 'fa be heard in Room G~15, Town Of- <br /> fice Building". Present were Commissioners Wilbur M. Jaquith, Chairman= <br /> Philip B. Parsons, Secretary= Donald J. Shaw; Georgia H. Williams; and Asso- <br /> mate Commissioners S. Lawrence Whipple and Royston T. Daley. The Chairman <br /> appointed Mr. Whipple to serve for Commissioner Thomas J. Hol~bog who xas <br /> unable to be present. <br /> Two hearings were bald at 8s00 P.M, Mr. Jaquith read the legal notice <br /> and the application for the erection and display of signs for Chung K, and <br /> Sarah Kim d/b/a House of Kim at 7 Mariam Street and Donald M. Rove d/b/a <br /> Music Alley at 21-23 Depot Square, which are within the Battle Green Dis- <br /> trict. Mr. Carl Severo of I~tal Letters Corporation submitted three scale <br /> drawings of each sign. Mrs. Kim was also present. Mr. Severo said fleet the <br /> sign for House of Kim world be 8'8" in length and the sign for Music Alley <br /> would be 13• in length. The hearings were closed at 8ii0 P.M. <br /> Mr. Daley said that he had been in Wickford, Rhode Island, which is <br /> part of North Kingston, and that the main street in lined on both sides with <br /> colonial, houses. Ile said that only one of the pauses has alumirnun siding <br /> and that it is quite obvious from across the street. <br /> Mr. Whipple said that the Ataarioan gas station i.n Concord between Mariam <br /> Corner and the Antiquarian Society has a very attractive woad sign with Bald <br /> lettering and that he would like to see similar signs in Lexington. <br /> It was moved, seconded, and unanimDUS1y VOTED to issue a Certificate of <br /> Appropriateness to Chung K. and Sarah Kim d/b/a House of Kim for the erec- <br /> tion and display of a sign for the store at 7 Mariam Street, which is within <br /> the Battle Green District. Participating in this decision were Commissioners <br /> Wilbur M. Jaquith. Phil3.p B. Parsons, Donald J. Shaw, Georgia H. Williams, <br /> and Associate Commissioner S. Lawrence Whipple. <br /> It was moved, seconded, and unanimously YOTED to issue a Certificate of <br /> Appropriateness to Donald M. Raun dib/a Music Alley for the erection and <br /> display of a sign for the store at 21-23 Depot Square, which is within the <br /> Battle Green Districet.
