396 <br />Dinneen ; Letter was received from Mr. Ballard regarding the Kinneen <br />property.property. Mr. Ballard is to appear April 2nd, at 8:00 P.M. <br />before the Board to discuss the matter. <br />The Board signed two water lien forms made out in the <br />names of William McDevitt and Winchester Co-op. Bank. <br />Water William McDevitt - $21.53 <br />Liens Winchester Co-op. Bank - 11.25 <br />Liens were to be claimed on account of non-payment of <br />water rates on these properties on March 30th, 1935. <br />Highway Letter was received from the Supt. of Streeter requesting <br />Dept. that he be allowed to hire 20 additional sten on highway work. <br />In addition he requested the services of Mr. Timothy Kinneen <br />as a Foreman on this construction at Pleasant Street at the <br />rate of $.60 per hour. <br />The Board voted that the Supt. of Streets could hire. <br />Timothy Kinneen as Foreman at $.60 per hour at the Pleasant - <br />Street construction job, and also that he could hire the <br />twenty additional men. <br />Abatement. The abatement of betterments on Taft Avenue and Fletcher <br />Avenue were he'd over until next week. <br />Blakely Mr. Ferguson's report on Blakely house was also held <br />House. over for one-week. <br />E.R.A. The Board received Mr. Robert P. TraskTs letter of <br />Admin- resignation as E.R.A. Administrator. Mr. Trask stated in <br />istrator. his letter that he thought that Messrs. Ross, OtConnor; Garrity <br />and Cosgrove should be released from their present jobs on E.R.A. <br />G and one man should have charge of this field supervision. <br />The Board accepted Mr. Trask?s resignation and voted to <br />appoint Mr. Charles E. Ferguson as Local Administrator in <br />Mr. Trask's place. (Mr. Ferguson did not vote). Mr. Lyons <br />moved that the new Administrator should engage a Field Super- <br />visor to oversee the outside work of E.R.A., and it was voted <br />to appoint Mr. William S. Scamman for this position at the rate <br />of $30. per week to be paid from the Public Works Labor & Material <br />Account. <br />Blasting Letter was received from Mr. Ross, who stqted that he felt <br />more consideration should be given tc blasting on account of <br />the large number of claims. <br />Mr. Ferguson suggested that his suggestion be approved <br />and closer inspection be given to blasting. <br />Rol]. & Also andher letter was received from Mr. Ross asking <br />rack. permission to have the approval of the Board to purchase a roll <br />and rack plan 500' se4le. He stated that he already ,has an <br />800? scale roll and rack at the Public Works. Bldg., and <br />desired the 5001 scale for use in the Town Office. The Board <br />approved Mr. Rosst request. Mr. Ross may purchase the 5001 scale. <br />Letter was received from Mary Carroll requesting a street <br />Street light to be placed in front of her steps. She stated that <br />light. there is a light just this side of her house and on on the <br />other side of her house, but in between there is a one <br />space. <br />Mr. Ferguson suggested that it be turned over to Cdr. <br />Gilcreast for further study ani taken up again April 2nd. <br />A <br />w.r <br />1 <br />Cl <br />
