M <br />Selectmen's Meeting <br />-3-- November 4 1986 <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to proclaim December <br />10 , 1988, as "Human Rights Day" in Lexington. <br />POW MIA FLAG <br />The Chairman noted a letter from William Fitzgerald, Chairman of the <br />Town Celebrations Committee, requesting that the POW /MIA flag be flown <br />somewhere in the Town from November 11, 1986 for a seven month period, as <br />authorized and directed by Governor Dukakis. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the request <br />of the Town Celebrations Committee that the POW /MIA flag be flown over the <br />Lexington Battle Green from Veterans Day, November y 1, 1 986 to June 1, <br />1987. <br />LEXINGTON CENTER COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT <br />Mr. Eddison noted that the Charge to the Lexington Center Committee had <br />been approved on October 21st. He read a list of six qualified candidates <br />for membership on the Committee who had all indicated willingness to serve. <br />Three more candidates will be sought to complete the membership. <br />Upon action duly made and seconded, it was voted to appoint the <br />following to the Lexington Center Committee for terms of office to expire on <br />September 38, 1989: <br />Margery M. Battin 15 Paul Revere Road <br />Norma Bogen 13- Barberry Road <br />}nary Hastings 1 2 0 Worthen Road <br />Marian Powell. 39- Forest Street <br />Christopher e'en i er 20 Clarke Street <br />F. David Wells 58 Prospect Hill Road <br />It was also voted that Margery M. Battin be appointed as Chairman of <br />the Lexington Center Committee. <br />SPECIAL MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />following appointments to the Hanscom Field Advisory Commission, as <br />requested by Fred Marcus, Chairman of the Commission: <br />Brad Counihan, representing the Town of Acton, to fill the unexpired <br />term of Anthony Mand i le to 1987. <br />William Bohni, representing the National Business Aircraft Association, <br />to fill the unexpired term of Ralph Sanford to 1987& <br />The Chairman noted that no background information on the qualifications <br />of Mr. Coun i h an- had been supplied and will ask that this be provided. <br />TRAFFIC ITEMS TO T.S.A,C, <br />seconded, it was voted to refer the following <br />Advisory Committee for review and <br />Traffic Signal cycle, Mass.
