M. <br /> Article 18. Presented by Alfred S. Busa. <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to <br /> install new or replacement water mains in such accepted or unaccepted <br /> streets or other land as the Selectmen may determine, subject to the <br /> assessment of betterments or otherwise, and to take by eminent <br /> domain, purchase or otherwise acquire any fee, easement or other <br /> interest in land necessary therefor; and to appropriate the sum of <br /> $50,000.00 for such installation and land acquisition, and that such <br /> amount be raised in the tax levy. <br /> Carried Unanimously 9 P. M. <br /> Article 19. Presented by Fred C. Bailey. <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to con— <br /> struct concrete, bituminous concrete or other sidewalks, at such <br /> locations as they shall determine, where the abutting owner pays <br /> one -half of the cost or otherwise; and to appropriate the sum of <br /> $21,000.00 therefor, and that such amount be raised in the tax levy. <br /> Carried by voice vote. 9:10 P. Busa. <br /> MOTION: That the Selectmen be and they hereby are authorized to <br /> install sewer mains and sewerage systems in such accepted or un- <br /> accepted streets or other land as the Selectmen may determine, <br /> subject to the assessment of betterments or otherwise, in accordance <br /> with Chapter 504 of the Acts of 1897, and acts in addition thereto and <br /> in amendment thereof, or otherwise, and to take by eminent domain, <br /> purchase or otherwise acquire any fee, easement or other interest in <br /> land necessary therefor; and to appropriate for such installation <br /> and land acquisition the sum of $340,000.00 therefor and that to <br /> raise such amount $123,050.45 be appropriated from the reimbursement <br /> funds from Water Pollution Control Project No. 142, $231.55 be <br /> transferred from the unexpended balance of the amount appropriated <br /> under Article 6 of the warrant for the 1964 Annual Town Meeting, <br /> $237.57 be transferred from the unexpended balance of the amount <br /> appropriated under Article 32 of the 1970 Annual Town Meeting, <br /> $4,000.00 be transferred from the Sale of Real Estate Lots Account, <br /> $1,662.43 be transferred from the Stabilization Fund and $210,818.00 <br /> be raised in the tax levy. <br /> 9:12 P. M. <br /> Frank Sandy moved to amend the motion by adding at the end: "No <br /> funds under this article shall be expended for sewer construction in <br /> Wood Street unless they are fully reimbursed by the developer of <br /> Woodpark Estates ". 9:17 P.
