(Ad Tn. Mtg. - Mar 25 1975) <br /> Article 71. Edward E. Furash presented the following amendments <br /> (Cont.) <br /> Under Article 71, I move that the subject matter of this article be <br /> (Amendment referred to the Selectmen's Personnel Advisory Board and that this <br /> Adopted) committee shall review and report to the next Annual Town Meeting <br /> on this subject and all related matters of inspection, including, <br /> but not limited to such topics as fire, building, plumbing, <br /> electrical, wetlands and other inspection matters, for the purpose <br /> of proposing comprehensive organization and staffing plans for all <br /> such inspection and monitoring matters. <br /> 8:30 P. M. <br /> Eric T. Clarke stated that he would like to have the Town Manager <br /> speak on this article. 8.32 P. M. <br /> Walter C. O'Connell, Town Manager, stated that this is just a <br /> housekeeping article - it is to correct the terminology in the <br /> Zoning By -Law. He also stated that there has been an increase in <br /> the workload of the Building Inspector because of the new Massa- <br /> chusetts Building Code. 8:36 P. M. <br /> Amendment, as presented by Mr. Furash, declared carried by voice <br /> vote. 8:42 P. M. <br /> Lois W. Brown served notice of reconsideration of Article 71. <br /> 8:42 P. M. <br /> Article 72.Presented by Eric T. Clarke. <br /> MOTION: That the sum of $12,000.00 be appropriated to be expended <br /> under the supervision of the Planning Board, for professional con- <br /> sultants and for expenses incurred by the Planning Board to make <br /> general planning studies of such matters, but not limited to, <br /> downtown parking, transportation, the future use and development <br /> of Hanscom Field, hydrological studies, soil studies, and bi- <br /> centennial studies, and that such amount be raised in the tax levy. <br /> 8:43 P. M. <br /> Mr. Clarke then spoke on this motion. 8:47 P. M. <br /> Edward E. Furash moved that this article be indefinitely postponed. <br /> 8.48 P. M. <br /> Allan F. Kenney stated that the Board of Selectmen unanimously <br /> supported the main motion offered under_ this article. <br /> 8:55 P.
