TAX ANTICIPATION BORROWING <br /> Presented by Stephen Michael Politi. <br /> MOTION: That the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, <br /> be authorized to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of <br /> the revenue for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1982 and to issue a <br /> note or notes therefor, payable within one year, under G.L. c. 44, <br /> sec. 4 as amended, and to renew any note or notes as may be given <br /> for a period of less than one year, under G.L. c. 44, sec. 17. <br /> 9:55 P.M. <br /> Mr. Politi explained that this is an annual motion but that it has <br /> not been necessary for the town to borrow in anticipation of revenue <br /> for a few years. He added that a letter had gone out to certain <br /> corporate taxpayers from the Town Manager and Town Treasurer back in <br /> October 1981 suggesting that early payment of the first half of the <br /> tax bill (which had not been sent out) would greatly assist the town. <br />
