Mr. DeRosa is proposing invasive species management. They will be <br /> removing the phragmites by cutting the standing material, burning it on site, then cutting it as <br /> new shoots come up. All other invasive species will be removed using the "whole plant removal" <br /> method. The site will be stabilized for the winter. In the spring they propose to conduct the <br /> plantings. The lawn which is located within the 50 foot buffer zone will be deemed a"low mow" <br /> area. The 25 foot buffer zone is proposed to be planted with shrubs, canopy and perennials.
