The Boston Gas Company will be installing a 600 foot linear gas line. The work involves excavating a two foot wide by three foot trench. All disturbed areas will be restored like in kind. Part of the project is exempt from regulations which is the portion of the gas line which is considered a minor project. There will be approx. 143 square feet of temporary impacts to Bordering Land Subject to Flooding and 802 square feet of temporary impacts to the Bordering Vegetated Wetland. Mr. Langseth, Ms. Dohan and Ms. Ladd had visited the site. Mr. Bitsko appreciated the photographic log which showed the gas lines. Mr. Bitsko asked if the trenches would be open overnight. Ms. Vesti stated that no there will be no overnight work. The trench will be opened and closed daily over the course of the project. Mr. Bitsko stated that the Commission will be asking for compost silt sacks. Ms. Mullins and Ms. Vesti clarified that the exempt portion of the project is not exempt under the town bylaw. On a motion by Ms. Ladd and seconded by Mr. Beuttell, the Commission voted 5-0 to issue a negative determination with conditions.
