42. <br />c� <br />Mr. Ballard asked if any part of the proposed building <br />would be used for food of the Minute Man Foods, Inc. and Mr. <br />Lowry replied in the affirmative. He said that they would keep <br />' <br />food only a few days waiting delivery to their store. <br />The Chairman asked what signs, if any, would be used and <br />Mr. Gosselin said that they would have an illuminated sign on <br />the building. He said that the electric lights will be in back <br />of the letters to make them stand out and that the lighting <br />would be subdued. <br />Mr. Ballard inquired about parking areas and.Mr. Greymont <br />said that there would be ample room to park between 20 and 30 <br />cars. <br />The Chair,%a4 asked about the driveway and Mr. Gosselin said <br />that it would be black macadam. <br />Mr. Redman asked if the light would be illuminated after the <br />building had been closed and Mr. Gosselin replied in the negative. <br />Mr. Brown asked about machinery and Mr. Greymont said that <br />the business would take *ery little equipment and that it would <br />be in the basement of the present building. <br />Mr. Brown asked how many employees would be required to <br />operate the store and Mr. Greymont said that there would be five <br />including office help. <br />Mr. Brown asked if they planned to make deliveries and Mr. <br />Gosselin stated that they would deliver only to their own store. <br />Mr. Locke asked if there would be any wholesale bubiness <br />and Mr. Gosselin said that if some individual has a locker and <br />desired to purchase twenty-four boxes of vegetables, there would <br />' <br />be a reduction in the prive, but they did not intend to conduct <br />a wholesale business. <br />The Chairman asked how much it would cost to rent a locker <br />and Mr. Gosselin said that they would cost $15,00 each for a <br />single box for a year. <br />Mrs. Katherine Arnold, 72 Middle Street, Lexington spoke <br />in favor of granting the petition and Mrs. Grace M. Buckley, <br />131 Shade Street, Lexington also spoke in favor of granting the <br />petition. <br />The hearing was declared closed at 8:45 p.m. <br />Upon motion of Mr. Locke, seconded by Mr. Ballard, it was <br />unanimously voted to grant the petition in the following form: <br />BOARD OF APPEALS PERMIT <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under the Lexington.
