REPORT OF TOWN CLERK 118 <br />TOWN WARRANT <br />COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS <br />MIDDLESEX, SS. <br />To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said <br />Greeting: <br />in the name of the Commonwealth of -Massachusetts, you <br />are directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, <br />qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet in the <br />Cary Memorial Building, in said .Lexington, on <br />MONDAY, 'the TWENTY-FIRST DAV of OCTOBER, 1935, <br />County, <br />at 8:00 o'clock P. 1I., then and there to act on the following <br />articles: <br />Article 1. To receive the report of any Board of 'Town <br />Officers or of any committee of the Town, and to appoint other <br />committees. <br />Article 2. To see if the Town will authorize the Select- <br />men to install street lights in the following unaccepted streets; <br />Taft Avenue; Blake Road; Blossom Crest. <br />Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to transfer ticirrrs <br />front available funds to the following accounts; T''iblic Wel- <br />fare ; Snow Removal. <br />Article 4.. To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum <br />of $1200. from the Sewer Assessment Fund to the Sewer Con- <br />struction, Sundry Streets Account. <br />Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to transfer sums <br />from available funds for labor and materials on public works <br />and for other expenses in connection therewith to be expended <br />by the Selectmen for the aid of persons employed under the <br />Works Progress Administration within the Town. <br />120 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />Article fi. To see if the Town will vote to install a water <br />stain in the following unaccepted street, subject to the assess- <br />ment of betterments; and to take by eminent domain the neces- <br />sary easement; therefor: <br />\Yachusett Drive, from the present end at Fair Oaks Drive, <br />a ,distance of approximately 350 feet. <br />Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- <br />priate a snrn of money for the purpose of financing the con- <br />struction of a sanitary sewer and storm water drain, the drain <br />to be constructed from Hayes Lane through private lands along <br />Vine Brook to Vine Brook Road, and the sewer to be construct- <br />ed from Hayes Lane through private lands along Vine Brook <br />and its south branch to the junction of the relocated north <br />branch, thence through private lands to Kendall Road, and in <br />Kendall Road to Grapevine Avenue; thence in Grapevine <br />Avenue lo its junction with Waltham Street ; and autltor-ize <br />and direct the Selectmen to accept on behalf of the Town, for <br />use in carrying out such project, a Federal grant of honey <br />pursuant to the Emergency Relief Appropriatio) Act of 1935; <br />and authorize the Board of Selectmen to construct said pro- <br />ject and contract with respect thereto; and authorize the treas- <br />urer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow such sums <br />as may be necessary to meet any appropriation made; or take <br />any action relative thereto. <br />Article S. '1`o see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- <br />priate a sunt of money for the purpose of financing the coir <br />struction of a new High School building and authorize and di- <br />rect the Selectmen to accept on behalf of the Town, for use in <br />carrying out suet' project, a Federal. grant of money pursu- <br />ant to the Emergency Relief Appropriation .het of 1935: and <br />authorize a committee to construct said project :Ind contract <br />with respect thereto; and authorize the treasurer, with the ap- <br />proval of the Selectmen. to borrow such suras as may be neces- <br />sary to meet any appropriation made; or take am action rela- <br />tive thereto. <br />Article 9. To see if the Town will determine the situation <br />of a new High School building and will authorize the Select - <br />'tient to acquire by purchase or take by Eminent Domain land for <br />the purpose of sueli new building and other appropriate school <br />purposes, or for the purpose of a park, playgronnd or recrea- <br />tion center, and provide for payment for the same by direct ap- <br />propriation, by transfer from other accounts, or by the issue <br />of bonds or notes of the Town in accordance with law. <br />
