Upon the easterly side of fleasant Street begin- <br />ning a.t a point 1110 feet southerly from the intersection of the <br />Concord Turnpike. extending 150 feet along Pleasant Street <br />and of a depth of 200 feet. throughout." <br />111r. MOODY PETITION <br />Acting upon the petition of Henry S..1[ootly to amend the <br />Lexington Zoning 13y -Law and Map by changing the parcel of <br />land upon the easterly side of Pleasant. Street beginning at a <br />point 100 feet southerly from the intersection of the Concord <br />Turnpike extending ii () feet along Pleasant Street and a depth <br />of 200 feet throughout; from an R. 1 to a C. 1 District, the <br />Planning Board has, in accordance with the provisions of the <br />Zoning By -Law, held a. duly advertised hearing and reports to <br />the town as follows: <br />The Board is of the opinion tluit at the present time no <br />need exists for a. business zone ill tliis part of the town and it <br />does not Relieve that such a zone would add to the general <br />welfare or convenience of the citizens of Lexington. Whatever <br />the future hnsiness requirements may become, along the new <br />Concord Highway, there are at Ieast four parties who have <br />118 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />withheld petitions for zoning changes in this general area, pend- <br />ing action by the State Legislature relative to the regulation <br />of business along this road. <br />The Board therefore recommends that this proposed <br />amendment be not adopted, at least until the State bill is act- <br />ed upon. <br />J.
