• <br />TOWN CLERK'S RECORDS <br />$45650.00 be appropriated for the <br />payment of the Town Debt maturing <br />in 1921, of which $37,650.00 be as- <br />sessed and $8000.00 be transferred <br />from the general revenue and surplus <br />account. <br />On motion of Robert H. Holt, the <br />23 <br />meeting at 10.45 P. M. adjourned for <br />one week, to March 28, 1921 at 7:30 <br />P. M. <br />A true record, attest: <br />ARTHUR W. HATCH <br />Town Clerk. <br />24 TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />THIRD ADJOURNED TOWN MEETING <br />March 28, 1921 <br />The meeting was called to order by <br />the Moderator at 7:33 P. M. <br />Dr. J. '0. Tilton being recognized <br />by the Moderator made a few re- <br />marks, and then offered the following <br />Resolution and Vote. <br />Resolved, The Citizens of Lexing- <br />ton, in open Town Meeting assembled <br />herewith extends its hearty apprecia- <br />tion and thanks to George W. Taylor <br />for his gift of two large and beautiful <br />flags which have been used on the <br />flag staff on the Common; and that <br />this vote be spread upon the Town <br />Records, and a copy of same be sent <br />to Mr. Taylor. <br />This Resolution was adopted and <br />passed by an unanimous vote at 7:34 <br />P. M. <br />Voted, that the Citizens of the <br />Town of Lexington in open Town <br />Meeting assembled, March 28, 1921, <br />hereby votes and spreads upon its <br />public records its expressions of ap- <br />preciation of the gift of 40 acres more <br />or less, of the meadow land, by Hon. <br />A. E. Scott, for Park purposes, and <br />that a copy of this vote shall be sent <br />to Mrs. A. E. Scott. <br />This vote was passed by a unani- <br />mous rising vote at 7:36 P. M. <br />Art. 13. On motion of Robert H. <br />Holt, Chairman of the Finance Com- <br />mittee the following votes were passed <br />under Article 13. <br />Voted, that the sum of $50.00 be <br />appropriated and assessed for the <br />Board of Survey for 1921. <br />Voted, that the sum of $500.00 be <br />appropriated and assessed for the <br />expenses of the Elections and Regis- <br />trations for 1921. <br />Voted, that the sum of 5200.00 be <br />appropriated and assessed for the <br />prevention of Forest fires for 1921. <br />Voted, that the sum of $5.00 be ap- <br />propriated and assessed for Hastings <br />Park for 192. <br />Voted, that the sum of $1000.00 <br />be appropriated and assessed for the <br />Board of Health of which the sum of <br />$150.00 is for salaries of the Board. <br />Voted, that the sum of $200.00 be <br />appropriated and assessed for the <br />Inspection of Cattle for 1921. <br />Voted, that the sum of $3500.00 be <br />appropriated and assessed for • In- <br />surance for 1921. <br />Voted, that the sum of $14,200.00 <br />be appropriated and assessed for the <br />support of the Police Department for <br />1921, to be expended by the Select- <br />men. <br />Voted, that the sum of $100.00 be <br />appropriated and assessed for the <br />
