(Inserted by the Board of Selectmen) FUNDS REQUESTED: Undetermined at this time DESCRIPTION: This article requests acceptance of subdivision streets which meet town standards and funding to bring certain unaccepted streets to town standards. These streets would then be accepted as public ways. ARTICLE 41 STREET CONSTRUCTION AND LANDTAKING To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money for street construction as determined by the Board of Selectmen and to take by eminent domain, purchase or otherwise acquire any fee, easement or other interest in land necessary therefor; determine whether the money shall be provided in the tax levy, by transfer from available funds, or by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. DESCRIPTION: This article allows the Town to appropriate a sum of money and to borrow for a program of street construction. At press time the Board of Selectmen had not determined whether to propose a program within this article. ARTICLE 42 FIRE DEPARTMENT LADDER TRUCK To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money to purchase a ladder truck for the Fire Department; determine whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy, or by transfer from available funds, or by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; authorize the trade in or sale of a ladder truck with the proceeds to be applied to the new ladder truck; or act in any other manner in relation thereto.
