ARTICLE 12 STREET RECONSTRUCTION <br /> To see if the Town will appropriate a sum of money to reconstruct town streets, and to take by <br /> eminent domain, purchase or otherwise acquire any fee, easement or other interest in land <br /> necessary therefor; determine whether the money shall be provided by the tax levy, by transfer <br /> from available funds, by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other <br /> manner in relation thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selectmen) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED: $280,000 <br /> DESCRIPTION: Funds are requested to reconstruct 1,600 feet of Oakland Street from <br /> Meriam Street to Glen Road South. The cost per foot is estimated at $175 which is higher <br /> than last year's estimate due to the condition of the street and an escalation of industry costs. <br /> ARTICLE 13 STREET ACCEPTANCE AND CONSTRUCTION <br /> To see if the Town will vote to establish as a Town way and accept the layout of as a Town way <br /> the following streets: <br /> Butterfield Road—From Maple Street westerly to the 1990 town layout of Butterfield Road; <br /> Currier Court—From Webb Street to its terminus; <br /> Granger Pond Way—From Lowell Street to its terminus; <br /> John Hosmer Lane—From Butterfield Road to its terminus; <br /> Schoolhouse Lane—From Concord Avenue to its terminus; <br /> Sedge Road—From the end of the 1961 town layout of Sedge Road 150 feet westerly. <br /> As laid out by the Selectmen, all as shown upon plans on file in the office of the Town Clerk, <br /> dated November 6, 1995, August 29, 1997 and November 7, 1997, and to take by eminent <br /> domain, purchase or otherwise acquire any fee, easement, or other interest in land necessary <br /> therefor; and raise and appropriate money for the construction of said streets and for land <br /> acquisition; determine whether the money shall be provided in the tax levy, by transfer from <br /> available fund, by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other <br /> manner in relation thereto. <br /> (Inserted by the Board of Selectmen) <br /> FUNDS REQUESTED: None <br /> DESCRIPTION: All of the streets listed above were constructed under the Subdivision <br /> Control Law except Sedge Road and meet or exceed Town standards for acceptance. <br /> LexHAB will pay for the reconstruction of Sedge Road where necessary.
