thatalmostalloftheFY15fundswereunspent,pendingtherecommendationofthe <br />PermanentBuildingCommittee. <br />Ms.Fenollosaaskedifthecommitteewasreadytotakeastrawvoteontheproject.Duetothe <br />uncertaindirectiontheprojectcouldtake,thecommitteedecidedtorefrainfromvotinguntil <br />moreconfirmedinformationcouldbeprovided. <br />4)MinutemanBikewayWayfinding DavidKucharsky,AssistantDirectorofPlanningandDave <br />Pinsonneault,DPWOperationsManagerpresentedtheapplicationforrequestofCPAfundsfor <br />MinutemanBikewayWayfindingSigns.Mr.Kucharskynotedthat$39,000inCPAfundswas <br />appropriatedinFY16forthedesignphaseoftheprojectandthecurrentFY17requestof <br />$120,000wouldmovetheprojectintotheimplementationphase.Theimplementationphase <br />wouldincludethefabricationandinstallationofsignsandGISmappingtoassistwith <br />maintenanceoncethesignsareinstalled.Mr.Kucharskynotedthataconsultanthadbeen <br />hiredtodeveloptheimplementationplan. <br />Ms.Fenollosaaskediftheimplementationplanhadbeenfinalizedyet.Mr.Kucharskysaidthe <br />projectplanhadnotbeenfinalizedbuttheyexpectedcompletioninthecomingmonths. <br />Mr.McSweeneyaskediftherehadbeenanycoordinationwiththetownsofBedfordand <br />Arlingtonwithregardstotheproposedproject.Mr.Kucharskysaidthetownshadbeen <br />notifiedof\[ĻǣźƓŭƷƚƓƭintentionbutneithertownmadeanyindicationthattheywould <br />proceedwiththesame. <br />Mr.Cohenaskedwhowouldmakethesignsandif\[ĻǣźƓŭƷƚƓƭDPWcouldpossiblyfabricate <br />some.Mr.Pinsonneaultsaidbidswouldbesubmittedbylocalcompaniesforthesignagesince <br />theDPWcouldnothandleaprojectonthescaleprojected. <br />Mr.Wolkaskedhowmanysignswouldbeplacedalongthebikeway.Mr.Pinsonneaultsaid <br />theydidnothaveexactnumbersyetbutestimatedapproximately400signs.Healsonoted <br />thatsignsizewillvarydependingonthepurposeofeachindividualsign.Bikewayetiquette <br />signagewouldbelargerwhilelocalinformationsignsmaybesmaller. <br />Ms.FenollosaaskediftheDPWwouldberesponsibleforinstallingthesigns.Mr.Pinsonneault <br />saiditwoulddependonthecostandthecapabilitiesofthedepartmentatthetimeof <br />implementation.Mr.Hortoninquiredaboutthetypeofmaterialthesignswouldbemadeof. <br />Mr.Pinsonneaultsaidmostwouldbeconstructedfromaluminumandbeverydurable.The <br />DPWwouldberesponsibleformaintainingtheinfrastructureoncethesignsareinstalled.Mr. <br />KucharskyagainpointedouttheimportanceoftheGISmappinginassistingwithsign <br />maintenance. <br />Mr.Pressmanaskedifthe$10,000requestlistedforDesign/EngineerNeedsonthecurrent <br />applicationwasinadditiontothe$39,000approvedinFY16fordesignfunds.Mr.Pinsonneault <br />confirmed. <br />Mr.McSweeneyaskediftheproposedsignswouldincludeinformationaboutspecificarea <br />businessesoriftheywouldbemoregeneral.Healsoquestionedifsignsponsorshipwasan <br />3 <br /> <br />
