option.Mr.Pinsonneaultconfirmedthatthesignswouldcontaingeneralinformationabout <br />areabusinessesandsponsorshipwouldbeanissuefortheBoardofSelectmen. <br />Ms.Fenollosaaskedifthesignswouldbeplacedinfrontofareasofhistoricinterest,suchas <br />TowerPark.Mr.Pinsonneaultsaidtheywouldpointoutgeneralplacesofhistoricinterestand <br />howtogettothem.MappingwouldbeintunewiththatoftheHistoricDistrictsCommission. <br />Mr.CohenaskedhowmanymilesofbiketrailisactuallyinLexington.Ms.Shawresponded <br />thatsevenmilesofthetrailrunthroughthetown. <br />Mr.KanteraskedMr.KucharskyandMr.Pinsonneaultforadraftreportofthedesignand <br />implementationplantoallowthecommitteesinvolvedtomakereasonablerecommendations <br />beforethewarrantforAnnualTownMeetingcloses.Mr.Pinsonneaultagreedtothatrequest. <br />Ms.Fenollosaaskediftherewasapossibilityofarevisedrequestexceedingtherequested <br />$120,000.Mr.Pinsonneaultsaidno,theprojectwouldnotexceedtheircurrentrequest. <br />Ms.Fenollosaaskedthecommitteeiftheywerereadytotakeastrawvoteontheprojectand <br />polledthecommittee.Thecommitteevoted90tosupporttheproject. <br />Mr.Kucharskyleftthemeetingattheconclusionofthepresentation. <br />5)AntonyPark Mr.PinsonneaultremainedandcontinuedtheAntonyParkpresentation.A <br />proposeddesignconceptwasdistributedtothecommittee.Mr.Pinsonneaultnotedthatthe <br />BoardofSelectmenhadauthorizedtheTourismCommitteetobuildaparkontheproposed <br />siteinTowerParkandanarchitect,Studio2112LandscapeArchitecture,hadbeenhired. <br />Submittedbidscamebackwithexceedinglyhighercoststhanwhathadbeenraisedinprivate <br />fundsandtheCPAfundsrequestedwouldbeusedtosupplementthatprivatemoney.Healso <br />notedthatsomeprivatedonorswerewaitingtoseeprogressontheparkbeforedonating <br />additionalmoneytotheproject.The$60,000inCPAfundswouldbeusedforcontinuing <br />designfeesandconstruction. <br />Ms.Fenollosaaskedforthetotalestimatedprojectcost.Mr.Pinsonneaultsaiditiscloseto <br />$90,000.Ms.Fenollosamentionedthatitwouldbeusefulforthecommitteetoknowthe <br />amountofprivatefundsalsocommittedtotheproject. <br />Ms.Kriegeraskedwhowouldberesponsibleforthemaintenanceoftheproposedperennial <br />flowerbedsinthepark.Mr.PinsonneaultexplainedthattheDPWhadagoodrelationshipwith <br />theƚǞƓƭGardenClubandhadbeenintalkstoturnoverthatresponsibilitytotheClub.The <br />DPWwouldmaintaintheturfsinceawaterlinehadalreadybeenestablishedintothearea. <br />Ms.Fenollosaaskedifanythingshownontheproposalhandoutwouldnotbeincludedinthe <br />finalplans.Mr.Pinsonneaultsaidthatthegranitestepswouldbeeliminatedinaneffortto <br />bringdowntheprojectcosts. <br />Mr.Wolkspokeofprevioustreesthatwereplantedintheparkbutdied.Itwasnotedthatall <br />treesweredonatedorpurchasedwithprivatefundsbutMr.Wolkexpressedconcernaboutthe <br />phenomenonbecausethemoneyforthetreescamefromafundingsourceandthatmeantless <br />moneywasavailableforsomeaspectoftheproject. <br />4 <br /> <br />
