Lexington Council for the Arts <br />Approved Minutes for meeting held January 13, 2014 <br />New business – <br />Approval of 2014 Grants <br />Members completed 15 award approval letters. Andrei Baumann, $150.00 <br />2014 Publicity <br />Members continued conversation around possible ways to improve publicity, <br />including: Twitter, Facebook, blog, updating town website, updating our website, <br />adding resources and support page to town website. <br />2014 Programming <br />Members are encouraged to look at the list on the last page of the agenda to consider <br />specific areas where they might like to be a point person. <br />Discovery Day – <br /> Leslie Masson agreed to be point person to explore photo booth at <br />Discovery Day. Members liked the idea of an engaging activity at our table/booth. <br />th <br />Discussion highlighted the success of the booth at the 300 Anniversary’s <br />LexCelebrate! event and the value of having interesting props for people to use <br />(penguin, funny hats, maybe artist props). <br />Spring fundraiser <br /> – Timing suggests fall is better timing. Possible collaboration <br />with Munroe Center for the Arts for an evening event where Munroe could co- <br />sponsor. The church hall they have been using can hold 200 people comfortably and <br />invites us to reach out across the community. <br />3 <br /> <br />
