Lexington Council for the Arts <br />Approved Minutes for meeting held January 13, 2014 <br />Patriots’ Day - <br /> Members shared brainstorm around ways to participate in Patriots’ <br />Day Parade. Lynne shared an inspiring illustration of a possible walking contingent. <br />Participants would wear black and sandwich boards depicting forms of arts & culture. <br />Cristina will submit application as a walking contingent – 6 – 18 people. We can <br />invite all grant recipients and also all participants in Open Studios. <br />Community Center <br /> - Suggestion is to request addition of picture rails in all rooms. <br />Cristina will reach out to Deb Mauger to ask whether Board of Selectmen would like <br />to charge us to make recommendations about the Community Center including: <br />(a) <br />art for the opening <br />(b) <br />art for ongoing and permanent installations <br />(c) <br />designated gallery space for the Lexington Council for the Arts <br />Next meetings: <br />Gallery Shows <br />2014 LCC Statewide Assembly Tuesday February 11, 10:00 – 3:00 <br />Feb 10, Parker Room, Town Office Building - Fundraising <br />Motion to adjourn was made by Cheryl Meadow, seconded by Lynne Klemmer and <br />unanimously approved at 9:06 p.m. <br />Attachment: Treasurer’s Report 1.13.14 <br />4 <br />
