Jim Shaw <br /> <br />Reminisants was asked to resubmit its application. <br /> <br /> <br />Rainbow Girls will participate in both the morning and afternoon parades. <br /> <br /> <br />A car has been arranged to transport honorary chief marshal Coach Bill Tighe. <br /> <br /> <br />Sandy Podgorski <br />th <br />The scouts were contacted and reminded to respond by April 4 with names of children <br />who would recite the boy scout law and oath and cub promise at the morning <br />ceremony. Only response so far has been from pack 137. <br /> <br />Sondra Lucente <br /> <br />A motion was made and approved to accept the following groups in the afternoon <br /> <br />parade: Pop Warner football and pickup truck; Dick Michelson’s truck; Roger Williams’ <br />truck; Hanscom AFB honor guard; Bedford Minutemen; LCA Robotics Team and banner; <br />Liberty Running Club; Destination Imagination; LHS Class of 1965; and, Gina Johnson’s <br />float displaying portraits of Massachusetts soldiers killed in action. <br /> <br />Sondra will call Jean Terhune at the Chamber of Commerce to check on float judges. <br /> <br /> <br />Miscellaneous: <br /> <br />Suzie walked the green with the DPW and police. There are slight modifications to <br /> <br />the police line this year that will not affect us. <br /> <br />Assignments for the day were discussed. <br /> <br /> <br />Dave Taylor has a pop up canopy we can use for banner bearer checkout at the end <br /> <br />of the parade. <br /> <br />Eight golf carts are available for afternoon parade use only. <br /> <br /> <br />Jo-Anne Granger has heard from all the girl scouts groups. <br /> <br /> <br />The Youth Commission will give names for master of ceremony participation at the <br /> <br />green. <br /> <br />Ice cream cone certificates are available for thanking banner bearers. <br /> <br /> <br />A motion was made and approved to allow the Youth Commission members to hand <br /> <br />out small flags along the parade route. <br /> <br /> <br />Memorial Day, May 30, 2011 <br /> <br />Col. Cheryl Poppe will be guest speaker. <br /> <br /> <br />Linda Dixon will talk with the Lexington Clergy Association to arrange for a clergy <br /> <br />representative. <br /> <br />A motion was made and approved to name Sandy Podgorski as chief marshal. <br /> <br /> <br />Jim Shaw will ask Senator Ken Donnelly to attend the ceremony and present a <br /> <br />senate proclamation recognizing and thanking VA volunteers. <br /> <br />Meeting was adjourned at 9:10 pm. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Sandy Podgorski <br /> <br />
