<br />Minutes <br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />April 7, 2011 <br />Town Office Building, Room 111 <br /> <br />Members present <br />Suzie Barry, Dick Crogan, Linda Dixon, Mary Gillespie, Sondra Lucente, Julie Miller, <br />Wayne Miller, Bill Mix, Sandy Podgorski, Charlie Price, Jim Shaw and Dave <br />Henry Murphy , <br />Taylor <br /> <br />Members not present <br />Jo-Anne Granger, Paul Jenkins, John Rossi and Bob Tracey <br /> <br />Business <br /> <br />Suzie Barry called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. <br /> <br /> <br />The March 24, 2011 minutes were accepted with two changes. <br /> <br /> <br />Patriots’ Day, Monday, April 18, 2011 <br />Updates: <br /> <br />Dave Taylor <br />Dave will continue to distribute event information. <br /> <br />Charlie Price <br />Charlie reports that we can post the event schedule at Minuteman Park. <br /> <br />Linda Dixon <br />nd <br />The 182 Medical Company of Concord, MA honor guard has returned its application. <br />Linda mentioned that if the government shutdown occurs, the unit may have to send a <br />smaller group to the parade. <br /> <br />Mary Gillespie <br /> <br />Thirty-eight children have signed up to be banner bearers. <br /> <br />th <br /> <br />There will be a new banner entry for the Lexington 300 anniversary. <br /> <br /> <br />John Ott is not available to announce this year’s parade. <br /> <br /> <br />Brookline Bank may only have one volunteer available to help with the parade. <br /> <br /> <br />Bill Mix <br /> <br />The Spirit of ’76 is all set. <br /> <br /> <br />USS Constitution’s second in command will be on the reviewing stand. <br /> <br /> <br />Dick Crogan <br />Again, there has been no response from LHS for student volunteers. <br /> <br />Julie Miller <br />Julie’s nephew will provide cars for the afternoon parade to transport folks who need to <br />ride. <br /> <br /> <br />
