<br />Mary will talk with the track coach at LHS regarding recruitment of student <br /> <br />volunteers for community service hours. <br />Bill Mix <br /> Formation of the Spirit of ’76 is still in progress. <br />Dick Crogan <br />There has been no response to the appeal for LHS student volunteers. <br /> Paul Jenkins <br /> <br />The John Penney Band ride is taken care of. A motion was made and approved to <br /> <br />accept the band’s participation at the rate they asked for. <br /> <br />A motion was made and approved to accept Robert Barber’s New Hampshire <br /> <br />Military Vehicles (about a dozen) for participation in the parade at a cost of $100 <br />more than last year. <br /> <br />A motion was made and approved to accept John Jay’s, Massachusetts Military <br /> <br />Museum, two tanks and armored scout car for participation in the parade at the <br />same cost as last year. <br />Julie Miller <br />Lexington Christian Academy is trying to gather a group for participation in the <br />afternoon parade. <br />Miscellaneous <br /> <br />Banknorth will not be participating in the afternoon parade. <br /> <br /> <br />Suzie reported that the Town Celebrations Committee’s Patriots’ Day budget is <br /> <br />depleted at this time. <br /> <br />We have a few new parade sponsors. <br /> <br /> <br />A motion was made and approved to accept the nomination of Coach William <br /> <br />Tighe as honorary chief marshal. <br /> <br /> A motion was made and approved to accept the following applications for <br /> <br />participation in the afternoon parade: <br /> <br />Minuteman Cane with car <br /> <br /> <br />Lions Club with lion and car for the recipient <br /> <br /> <br />Community Farm Coalition <br /> <br /> <br />Minuteman National Park with colonial drummer <br /> <br /> <br />Mahoney’s with float <br /> <br /> <br />Youville Place bus with residents <br /> <br /> <br />Dance Inn for the same cost as last year <br /> <br /> <br />The committee arranged the parade participation lineup. <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting was adjourned at 8:55 pm. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Sandy Podgorski <br />
