<br />Minutes <br />Town Celebrations Committee <br />March 17, 2011 <br />Town Office Building, Room G-15 <br /> <br />Members present <br />Suzie Barry, Dick Crogan, Linda Dixon, Mary Gillespie, Jo-Anne Granger, Paul Jenkins, Sondra <br />Lucente, Julie Miller, Wayne Miller, Sandy Podgorski and Dave Taylor <br /> <br />Members not present <br />John Rossi and Jim Shaw <br /> Bill Mix, Henry Murphy, Charlie Price, <br /> <br />Business <br /> <br />Suzie Barry called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. <br /> <br /> <br />The February 17, 2011 minutes were accepted. <br /> <br /> <br />The March 3, 2011 minutes were accepted with one amendment. <br /> <br /> <br />Patriots’ Day, Monday, April 18, 2011 <br />Updates <br /> Dave Taylor <br />Publicity is ready. Dave will distribute the information to the list of places he has <br />compiled. <br />Wayne Miller <br />Wayne reported that AC & M Fire Equipment will send Acton Fire Engine #21 to <br />participate. Greg Prescott will drive the truck. A motion was made and accepted <br />to include the engine in the afternoon parade at no cost. <br />Linda Dixon <br /> <br />Pastor Richard Capron of the Lexington United Methodist Church will be the <br /> <br />clergy representative at the ceremony on the green. <br />st <br /> <br />The 181 Engineer Company of the National Guard will march. <br /> <br /> Mary Gillespie <br />Banner bearer letters have gone out. Discussion ensued about possibilities for <br />making more efficient the process at the end of parade (banner return, pick up <br />of children, etc.). <br /> <br />
