<br /> <br />Morning ceremonies <br />The Youth Commission will provide a master of ceremony and chief marshal for the <br />program at the green. <br /> <br />Afternoon parade <br /> <br />George Burnell will drive Chief Marhsal Marge Battin in his red convertible. <br /> <br /> <br />Parade sponsorship is going well. We have six new contributors. <br /> <br /> <br />Portable toilets have been ordered. <br /> <br /> <br />Golf carts cannot be driven until parade time. <br /> <br /> <br />The DPW will bring bike racks to create a handicap seating area adjacent to the <br /> <br />reviewing stand stairway. <br /> <br />Brookline Bank employees will volunteer at the parade. <br /> <br /> <br />The COA Young at Heart group will sing again this year. <br /> <br /> <br />Banner bearer information has been sent out and will appear in various <br /> <br />locations. <br /> <br />Jim Shaw will speak with Paul Rose about the availability of a truck for the <br /> <br />Reminisants. <br /> <br />Susan Bennett of the Historical Society said that the boy scouts will pull the <br /> <br />organization’s pumper. <br /> <br />Norwich University’s alumni office called to say that they are looking forward to <br /> <br />attending the parade. <br /> <br />Paul Jenkins and Sharon Spaulding will play one hour of recorded patriotic music <br /> <br />prior to the beginning of the parade on behalf of Steve Flynn, who is unable to <br />attend this year. <br /> <br />The end of the parade will be pushed back to the town pool parking lot. <br /> <br /> <br />A marching unit and color guard will accompany the US Air Force Band of Liberty <br /> <br />this year. <br /> <br />Vehicle update – The Bren gun carrier will participate in the parade for $275 and <br /> <br />nine to twelve military vehicles will participate for $600. Both motions were <br />accepted and approved by five votes and opposed by one. <br /> <br />General <br /> <br />The DPW will put the flags out on the avenue (but not the green) on the Friday <br /> <br />prior to Patriots’ Day. <br /> <br />
