A motion was made and accepted to include the group by <br />four yes votes and one abstention. <br /> <br />Vehicles update <br /> <br />A motion was made and accepted to include the following vehicles for no fee in <br /> <br />the afternoon parade: <br />1946 Arlmont fuel truck <br /> <br />o <br />Five James Flett vehicles <br /> <br />o <br />1975 Mac truck <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Still waiting an update on military vehicles <br /> <br /> <br />We need a convertible to accommodate Chief Marshal Marge Battin <br /> <br /> <br />Antony Committee <br />Regarding the French exchange group’s participation in the afternoon parade, the <br />committee received the following requests from the Antony Committee: <br /> <br />If small French flags could be handed to parade spectators prior to the arrival of <br /> <br />the parade (unanimously opposed) <br /> <br />Could a golf cart be available and kept close to the marching group for potential <br /> <br />needs (unanimously opposed) <br /> <br />Could the Liberty Ride trolley ride behind their float to provide transportation <br /> <br />should the marching guests need to use it (unanimously accepted) <br /> <br />Memorial Day <br />Sam Doran, member of the Sons of Union Veterans, presented the committee with <br />several proposals to the Munroe cemetery ceremonies on behalf of the civil war <br />deceased. The question was raised about one of Sam’s requests to roll call the names of <br />the civil war dead when the ceremony is designated to remember the deceased of all <br />wars. A motion was made to table additional discussion until the April 28, 2010 meeting. <br /> <br />Parade order <br />The committee made a first review of the parade order. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:15 pm. <br /> <br />Submitted by Sandy Podgorski <br />
