With the following provisions:  Participation fee must be paid prior to the parade.  Participants are limited to one banner. No hand held signs.  Participants may use a vehicle if approved by the committee.  No placards, fliers, balloons or candy are to be distributed along the parade route. Suzie has only heard from one candidate so far. Float application update  Monday, March 1, was the deadline for float application submission. A number of standard applications were received in addition to some float variations (i.e., walkers with signs, etc). Applications from the following groups were accepted: Liberty Ride (at no fee), Tourism Committee (Antony Working Group), Arts and Crafts Society, Lexington Lions Club, Senior Center (with vehicle and walkers), Monroe Center for the Arts, Michelson Shoes (1919 Model T), US Coast Guard Auxiliary, Lexington Community Farm Coalition and the Asian Americans Are Patriots As Well. One abstaining vote was recorded pending additional information. Banner bearers Suzie will update the permission slip and send them to the various schools. Vehicles update  The sponsor providing large tanks is in the hospital. Paul Jenkins will talk with him when he is home.  Paul is awaiting a response from Steve Flynn. Youth Commission A motion was made and accepted to allow the Youth Committee participants to hand out small flags during the afternoon parade. His Majesty’s Fifth Regiment of Foot update  The decision on whether a single rider can accompany the regiment in the afternoon parade was tabled pending more information.  Bill Mix is waiting to hear how many participants will walk in the afternoon parade. When we know, the committee will then decide whether or not to accept the regiment’s application.
