r � SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />V <br />February 1, 1988 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Monday, <br />February 1, 1888, in the Selectmen's Meeting Room, Town Office <br />Building, at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Eddison, Mr, Dailey, Mrs. Smith, Mr. <br />McSweeney; Mr. Wh Town Manager; Mr. Cohen, T own Counsel Mrs. Snow, <br />Executive Clerk, were present. <br />VOTE TO LAY OUT PHILIP ROAD <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to lay out as a <br />public way Philip Road, 1,500' ±, from Worthen Road, to beyond Goffe <br />Road. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />SEWER & WATER ABATEMENTS <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve. <br />abatement of water charges in the total amount of $44.40 <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted, to approve <br />abatement of sewer charges, in the total amount of '3,515.480 <br />ONE DAY LIQUOR LICENSES <br />rrr��i��rrr�n rrrr <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />application of the Lexington Community Playground Sub - committee for <br />permission to serve wine in Cary Hall and for One -Day Liquor License on <br />March 18, 1888, on the occasion of a fund raising auction. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the <br />application of the Children's Center of Lexington, for permission to <br />serve wine in Cary Hall and for One Day Liquor License on February 27, <br />1888, on the occasion of a fund raising concert. <br />WARRANT PROCEDURES <br />Mr. Cohen recommended that a citizens article requesting <br />installation of drainage at Adams Street be brought in by the <br />petitioner under the general drainage Article; that a petition for <br />connection to sewer on Chandler Street; be considered under the general <br />sanitary sewer Article and that a petit for sidewalk installation on <br />Marrett Road be brought in under the general sidewalk Article. The <br />proponents will be notified of these procedures. <br />He also suggested that property owners who would be affected by <br />extension of the Historic District to cover nine outlying homes, be <br />notified that this action will be considered. by Town Meeting. <br />Mr. Dailey suggested that thought be given to the installation of <br />sidewalk on Marrett Road by the D.P.W., rather than by contractor. The <br />Manager will explore the matters <br />RAILROAD SPUR <br />Mr. Eddison reported on a meeting with David Davis of Massport, <br />which he, Mr. White and Betsy Anderson, Bedford Selectman, had <br />f attended, regarding the disposit of the railroad spur, which had <br />been offered for sale by the General Services Administration. Mr. <br />Davis had said that Massport is no longer interested in purchasing the <br />land, which both Lexington and Bedford are interested in acquiring. <br />Mr. White will contact G.S.A. to pursue the matter further. <br />
