k . <br /> (Adjourned Session of the 1980 Annual Town Meeting - March 24, 1980.) <br /> Article 39. Presented by Angela B. Frick. <br /> MOTION: That the Conservation Commission be authorized to purchase <br /> or otherwise acquire, and the Selectmen be authorized to take by <br /> eminent domain, upon the written request of the Conservation <br /> Commission, for conservation purposes including outdoor recreation <br /> as provided by Section 8C of Chapter 40 of the General Laws, any <br /> fee, easement or conservation restriction as defined in Section 31 <br /> of Chapter 184 of the General Laws or other interest in all or any <br /> part of land shown as Lot 53G on Assessors' Property Map 16 and. <br /> described in deed recorded in Middlesex South Registry of Deeds, <br /> Book 9271, page 407, now or formerly of Trinity Covenant Church <br /> that the sum of $100,000.00 be appropriated for such land acquisi- <br /> tion, and that such amount be transferred from the appropriation <br /> voted under Article 40 of the warrant for the 1975 Annual Town <br /> Meeting. 10:07 P.M. <br /> Donald B. White stated that the Appropriation Committee supported <br /> this article. 10:09 P.M. <br /> Motion, as offered by Mrs. Frick, declared carried unanimously. <br /> 10:10 P.M. <br /> Article 40. Francis W. K. Smith moved that Article 40 be tabled. 10:10 P.M. <br /> Carried Unanimously. 10:10 P.M. <br /> (See Page 586) <br /> Article 41. Presented by Shirley H. White stated that the Appropriation Committee supported <br /> this motion. 10:18 P.M. <br /> Because of the use of conservation land as agriculture land last <br /> year, Elaine Dratch asked if hearings would be held in the future <br /> if this was to happen again and Francis W. K. Smith answered in <br /> the affirmative. Mrs. Dratch then asked if any of the takings this <br /> year could he used as agricultural land and Shirley Stolz answered <br /> in the negative. 10:25 P.M. <br /> Motion, as offered by Mrs. Stolz, declared carried unanimously. <br /> 10:26 P.M. <br />
