PLANNING BOARD MEETING I May 6 , 1957 A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held in the Town Engineer's Room, Town Office Building, on Monday, May 6, 1957 at 7:40 p.m. Present were Chair- man Grindle, Members Burnell, Jaquith and Soule, Plan- ning Director Snow, and the secretary. Mr. Stevens was present from 9:35 to 9:45 P.m. The minutes of the meetings of February 22, 1957 MINUTES and April 29, 1957 were approved. The following bills submitted for payment were BILLS approved: Bruce E. Howlett, professional services, period ending May 4, 1957-4100.00; Spaulding -Moss Co., town maps --$15.5$; Foto Beam, Inc., white prints and drafting supplies --$9.70. The following Form A application was taken under FORM A consideration for determination of Planning Board jur- isdiction: #57-45, submitted May 1, 1957 by Albert H. Burn- ham, plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington - Mass.", Scale 1" = 40t, dated April 25, 1957, Miller and Nylander, Civil Engr's & Surveyors, Lexington, Mass. It was moved, seconded and unanimously VOTED: That the plan accompanying application #57-45 be signed bearing the endorse- ment "Lexington Planning Board approval not required under the Subdivision Control Law." The Board discussed the status of Filene's re- REGIONAL zoning proposal for a regional shopping center in SHOPPING Lexington. It was the concensus of opinion that CENTER considerable statistical data had yet to be obtained PROPOSAL by the Board before it could form any opinion on the proposal, that a restrictive amendment to the by-law must be written and conferences held with Filene's before advertising for a public hearing on the pro- posal, and that the Board should hold said hearing before releasing any publicity on the data the Board had obtained or any decisions it had reached. Read to the Board were the notices of hearings BOARD OF to be held by the Board of Appeals on May 21, 1957• APPEALS It was decided to take no action on any petitions to be heard on said date.
