1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />September 2, 1937 <br />Present:- JJessrs. Greeley, Ellis, Ferguson, Kraetzer, Kimball, <br />and Nickerson. <br />The Board organized and Mr. Greeley was elected permanent <br />Chairman, and ivir. Kimball as Clerk. <br />Hearings were conducted at 8:00, 8:10 and 8:20 P. M. on <br />proposed amendments to the Zoning By -Law. Detailed report is <br />separate. <br />Following the hearings, the Board reconvenied for <br />regular business. <br />Organiza- <br />tion <br />Reports and recommendations on three proposed amendments <br />vis: adoption of the revised map, description of C.1 District <br />on Bedford_ Street and enlarged business area at Lowell and By - <br />Woburn Streets, were read and approved. Laws <br />It was reported that the Board of Survey had not accepted <br />the original layout as petitioned, for a dead end street near <br />Marrett Road and Spring Street and were taking no further action <br />on the subject. The Board feels that considerable time having <br />been spent in developing an alternative plan, the subject should <br />not be abandoned and the Board of Survey is to be contacted to <br />determine desirable steps to close the matter <br />A brief discussion of lot areas developed the need for <br />a map delineating existing recorded plats, as a base for <br />intelligent action. The Clerk presented an eight hundred <br />scale town map on which lotting and land use has been completed <br />for about a third of the Town. <br />The Board voted to place a sum, not to exceed fifty <br />dollars, to be used if necessary and under the direction of <br />the Clerk, in obtaining and transcribing plats of record at <br />the Land Court. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:10 P.
