BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />' September 10, 1974 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />September 10, 1974 at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Town <br />Office Building. Present were four regular members and one associate member <br />as follows: Chairman,Donald E. Nickerson; Vice Chairman, George P. Wadsworth; <br />regular members: Ruth Morey and Woodruff M. Brodhead; and associate member <br />Thomas G. Taylor. Also present were: a Minute -Man reporter, LWV Observer and <br />a room full of townspeople. <br />Before any hearings were held, a representative of Spring Street Trust <br />withdrew the petition which follows, it having been advertised in the Lexing- <br />ton Minute -Man and notices having been mailed to all who should legally re- <br />ceive notices. <br />LEGAL NOTICE <br />August 22 and 29, 1974 <br />The Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on the petition of SPRING <br />STREET TRUST for a special permit and for a finding and determination that the <br />construction of a 22,500 square foot office building and a 7,850 square foot <br />parking structure on LOT 19 ON HAYDEN AVENUE, all as shown on plans submitted, <br />will constitute a suitable development and will not result in substantial detri- <br />ment to the neighborhood in accordance with Sections 13 and 25 of the Town of <br />Lexington Zoning By-law. <br />Also the petitioner requests a variance from Section 27 to reduce the mini- <br />mum lot area from five (5) acres to 1.9 acres since this is the amount of land <br />enclosed by Route 2 and its ramp system and Hayden Avenue; and to reduce the <br />required front yard (Hayden Avenue) of 100 feet to 40 feet and the rear yard <br />(Route 2) from 50 feet to 30 feet. <br />ADDRESS: HAYDEN AVENUE, LEXINGTON, MA (LOT 19) <br />OWNER: TRUSTEES OF SPRING STREET TRUST, BOSTON, MA <br />(CABOT, CABOT & FORBES CO.) <br />The hearing will be held in the TOWN OFFICE BUILDING on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER <br />10, 1974 at 7:35 P.M. <br />Donald E. Nickerson, Chairman <br />Board of Appeals <br />Aug. 22, 29 <br />The fact that the petition was withdrawn was brought to the attention of <br />all present,again,at 7:35 p.m. and also after the first hearing was concluded. <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notice having been <br />mailed to those who should legally receive them and to town boards and offi- <br />cials who will or might be affected by decisions made and also advertised in <br />the Lexington Minute -Man newspaper <br />Tennis Club Guarantors Trust, Eldred L. Field and Walter Levison, Trustees <br />for permission to the present owners, their successors and assigns to: <br />' 1. (a) add gutter to roof on front of building facing the street over the <br />patio located at 475 Bedford Street, Lexington. <br />(b) add awning to front of building length of patio. (same address). <br />(c) add brick planter under each set of windows on present patio. <br />
