BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />' June 19, 1973 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />June 19, 1973 at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Town Office <br />Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members, G. Sheldon, R. <br />Morey, W. Brodhead and G. Wadsworth. <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notice having been <br />mailed to the petitioners, to the owners of all property deemed by the Board <br />to be affected thereby as they appear on the most recent local tax list, to <br />town boards and officials who will or might be affected by decisions made, <br />and also advertised in the Lexington Minute -man. <br />Eva Jonas and Jan Jonas - variance of the zoning by-law (section 27) in order <br />to build an addition 23 ft. by 11 ft. to the existing house at 2 Burns Road. <br />The addition will leave a set back of 28 ft. instead of the required 30 ft. <br />Lois B. May and Edward A. May - variance of section 27 of the Lexington zon- <br />ing by-law to maintain the existing dwelling with a set back of 28 ft. instead <br />of the required 30 ft. and to build an addition to the side of the present <br />dwelling which will have a set: back of 29 ft, instead of the required 30 ft. <br />Living and Learning Centres, Inc., George A. Naddoff, President - permission <br />to build a Gunite pool (in -ground, filtered, concrete, with dimensions 18 ft. <br />by 36 ft., minimum depth 2 ft. maximum depth 4 ft.) on property located at 80 <br />Maple Street as shown on plot plan. Appeal is made under Section 12.1 of <br />Lexington Zoning By -Law as a result of our inability to obtain a building <br />permit from the building inspector, and for the purpose of expanding the use <br />of the current facility as granted by previous special permit. <br />Campanelli, Inc.(Tyco Laboratories) - variance of Article X, Sections 1 and 2 <br />of the town of Lexington building by-laws for Tyco Laboratories at 4 Hartwell <br />Place as follows: That the allowable area between fire walls be increased <br />from 16,667 s.f. to 23,000 s.f. The petitioner is the designer and builder <br />for Tyco Laboratories for a 40,000 s.f, single story office and light manufac- <br />turing building. <br />Schumacher Realty Trust - variance of section 27 of the Lexington zoning by- <br />law in order to build a house on the property at 1 Valley Road which will have <br />a set back of 24 ft. instead of the required 30 ft. <br />Following the hearings the Board made the following decisions, all in <br />public meeting and all unanimous. <br />Jonas - Granted, with a set back of 27 ft. Construction must begin before one <br />year from date. <br />May - Granted, to maintain present dwelling with a set back of 27 ft. 6 in. <br />and to build an addition with a set back of 28 ft. 6 in.
