Mercadante house on Lowell Street. <br />' A report from the Health Inspector was read by the <br />Chairman stating that the inside of the house was clean <br />and in a healthy condition. Mr. Mercadante's son-in-law <br />and family have been forced on account of financial <br />difficulties to move in. Mr. Stevenson said he saw <br />nothing objectionable in the house and found it in a <br />much better condition than he expected. <br />It was suggested that the Clerk talk to Miss East- <br />man about the matter. A <br />The Chairman stated that he concurred with the Board <br />on the appointment of the following persons to the <br />April 19th Committee for 19371 <br />Malcolm H. Clifford, Chairman <br />Charles 0. Goodwin <br />James J. Waldron <br />Claude A. Palmer <br />George E. Foster <br />209 <br />Mercadante <br />house. <br />April 19th <br />committee <br />Commitment of water rates in the amount of $5518.11 <br />was signed by the Board. Commitment <br />Trunk Line <br />Sewer. <br />The Chairman stated that he did not like to see <br />an emergency declared at this time on account of the <br />condition of the trunk line sewer between Mass. Avenue <br />and'Vine Brook Road. He said that he would like to go <br />' <br />as far as possible this year with the funds in the Trunk <br />Line Sewer Repair Account and continue in 1937 as far as <br />possible with Sewer Maintenance funds. He thought that <br />about $600. could be spent from Sewer Maintenance in <br />one month and said that when that amount was gone, an <br />emergency could be declared. <br />Mr. Giroux moved that the vote of December 22nd <br />declaring an emergency under Section -31, Chapter 44 of <br />the General Laws on account of the condition of the <br />trunk line sewer in the right of way between Mass. Ave. <br />and Vine Brook Road be rescinded. Mr. Potter seconded <br />the motion and it was so voted. <br />Mr. Giroux moved that the vote of December 22nd to <br />charge the cost of rebuilding this piece of sewer to the <br />Trunk Line Sewer Repairs Account and to request a trans- <br />fer from the -Sewer Assessment Fund to the Trunk Line <br />Repairs Account at the March 1937 Town Meeting be res- <br />cinded. Mr. Potter seconded the motion and it was so <br />voted, <br />Mr, Giroux then moved that the Board authorize the <br />Supt. of Public Works to proceed with the repairing of <br />the trunk line sewer in the right of way between Mass. <br />Avenue and Vine Brook Road and to charge the cost to. <br />' <br />the Trunk Line Sewer Repairs account'and when the funds <br />In this account have been exhausted, to charge the cost <br />of the work to the Sewer Maintenance appr6p3Mhtion.
