Letter was received from the Patriot's Hay <br />Committee -Inviting the Board to review the parade to <br />be held on Monday, April 20th, and to attend a luncheon <br />to be held at the Masonic Temple following the arrival <br />of Revere and Dawes. Mr. Giroux moved that the invita- <br />tions be accepted tfnd that the Committee be so advised. <br />Mr. Potter seconded the motion and it was so voted. <br />435 <br />Invitation, <br />Apkil 19th <br />parade. <br />Letter was received from the Lexington Taxpayers' <br />Assoc. stating that the Board of Trustees planned to <br />meet once a monthaduring the year or possibly oftener <br />and would like to use one of the small rooms in the Cary <br />Memorial Building. The letter stated that this was a <br />non-partisan organization. Its Board of Trustees is <br />drawn from all Precincts and its purpose is to promote Use of <br />interest in the business and activities of governmental room by <br />agencies with a view to assist in effecting economy. Taxpayers <br />The Trustees felt that such a purpose came within the Assoc. <br />uses to which Cary Memorial Hall is restricted. They <br />requested the use of such a room on the third Monday <br />evening of each month. <br />Mr. Giroux moved that the matter be turned over to <br />the Supt. of Publico Works 'for report as to the advisability <br />of allowing the Taxpayers Association to use a room. Mr. <br />Clark seconded the motion and it was so voted. <br />Letter was received from Donald W. Tucker of 79 Grant <br />' <br />Street complaining of the sewage being dumped from the <br />Complaint <br />vicinity of Grant Street into Vine Brook. The Chairman <br />re: <br />stated that the condition could not be remedied until <br />Sewage, <br />such time as the trunk line sewer was extended from East <br />Vine Brook, <br />Lexington because the present trunk line is not large <br />enough to take care of all the sewage. There are also <br />leaks along the line. <br />Mr. Ross moved that Mr. Tucker be advised of the <br />situation. Mr. Giroux seconded the motion and it was <br />so voted. <br />Letter was received from the Board of Registrars <br />Cha im an, <br />advising that George H. Lowe of 419 Marrett Road, was- <br />Board of <br />elected as Chairman of the Board for the ensuing year. <br />Registrars. <br />Letter was received from Dr. Barnes, School <br />Physician, asking if the Board wished him to go ahead <br />as in the past several years and immunize school and <br />pre-school children against Diphtheria. Mr, Potter <br />moved that Dr. Barnes be authorised to continue such <br />immunization this year and that any expense be paid as <br />in previous years.
