520 <br />�► <br />�e <br />Public <br />last meeting in <br />Public Works <br />establishing the salary of the Supt, of <br />$3200 ' <br />Works <br />as <br />be revoked and it was voted that the <br />Supto <br />salary be $3300 <br />from March lst, and that the use of the <br />car of $200 formerlV paid, be discontinued. <br />Salam <br />It was voted to approve the appropriation for snow•re- <br />Qppropria- moval of $15,000 also the appropriation of $10,000 for in - <br />tion surance. <br />The Application for Old Age Assistance of Stephen <br />Old Age Jones. who lives with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Burgess during <br />Assistance the winter, was turned over to Mr. Gilcreast for his atten- <br />tion. <br />Gas Leaks D The Supt, of Public Works was requested to secaure'in- <br />lormation relative to the complaint of Mr. Tinkham of Cool- <br />idge Avenue of gas leaks. <br />Mr. Mitchell came before the Board and reported that <br />he received application from Anthony Mercadante of Lowell <br />Street for assistance. Mr. Mercadante owns a house on Raw- <br />son Avenue in which a recipient of old age assistance lives <br />Mercadante and formerly one of the aid cases lived there and aid was <br />case held out to be paid to Mr. Mercadante for r.,ent. He has <br />ten children and he has registered a truck this ,year. He <br />has first mortgage on house in which he lives of $3500 and <br />second mortgage of $2700 and on the Rawson house of $2700 <br />and second mortgage of $500. The Clerk reported that the <br />census worker on C.W.A. reported that this fami=ly had noth- <br />ing to eat. The son did work on the C.'�d.A. but not being <br />mentally well, he could not wor'-. Mr. Mitchell stated that <br />he would give food in this case and that the father could <br />work for the food. <br />Application was received from Robert E. Durkin who <br />has been living with his wife's folks, Mrs. Chas. Savage, <br />on Manley Court, and has now to secure a home for himself, <br />Aid,Durkin has four small children. The family have been placed with <br />family his fam'ly out of town. The man was on the C.INT.A. Mr. <br />Mitchell was requested to inform him that he should apply <br />for aid where his family are now living. <br />It was voted to give notice of intention of laying out <br />Gleason Road from Simonds Road to Williams Road a distance <br />of ap-roxin-ately 658 feet. <br />It ":,,as voted to give notice -of intention to lay out <br />Blake Road from Simonds Rd. to Eaton Rd, approximately 210 ft. <br />It was voted to give notice of intention to lay out <br />Eaton Rd. from Bertwell Rd. to Blalre Rd. a distance of 792 feet <br />The Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M. <br />A true record, Attest: <br />Clerk. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
