Petition was received from the residents of Waltham St. I Request from Allen Street to Blossom Street requesting that a study for light- of the lighting in that section be made. A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday February 13, 19,714 at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Trask, Gilcreast, Ferguson, O'Connell and Lyons were present. The Clerk was also present. Mr. Walter E. Jones and Mr. Hrones of Winter Street came before the Board and requested that a water main be Water, extended in Winter Street from the present dead end in a Winter fit, northeasterly direction for a distance of approximately 300 feet. They explained at present the pipe runs across Mr. Jones and Mr. Hrones land from P pipe in the cellar at Mr. East- man's house. Mr. Eastman has threatened to shut off the water many times and this is what they are afraid of; there- fore they would ll' -e to have a pipe extended in the highway. The Chairman informed him that the approximate cost would be about 90� a foot. The Board agreed to insert an article in the Warrant calling for the installation of a water main provided the street layout was made on that part of Winter Street. Application was received from Harry J. Huntley Co. of ' Waltham for permission to maintain a one car garage of brick Garage, veneer construction at 24 (lot) Hancock Street. Huntley Representatives of the Huntley Co. were present and pre- sented plan which appeared to be satisfactory. No persons ap•,eared to object, and it was voted to grant the permit sub- ject to the approval of the Bluilding Inspector. It was voted to request the Town Treasurer to obtAin Steel Stand -bids on loan of 355000 at the rate of 32o to finance the pipe construction of the steel standpipe.
