119 <br />1 9 3 3 <br />SELECTMENtS MEETING <br />JANUARY 3, 1933. <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmdn was held <br />at the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, <br />January 3, 1933 at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Trask, C ustance, <br />Gilereast, Ferguson and OtConnell were present. The Supt. <br />of Public Works and Clerk were also present. <br />Letter was received from Leonard Meek of 30 Cottage <br />Street in which he stated that he was unable to keep his fam- <br />ily on $2.60 per week on the amount that was given his Meek <br />fhther-In-law of 10% of his salary if he would take care of case* <br />his daughter and her family, and he desired to have work to <br />care for his own family. Mr. Mitchell reported that Mr. Leaf <br />informed him that his daughter had received the money due her <br />from her mothers' estate but that it was gone some time ago. <br />It was decided to lay the matter on the table. <br />Mr. Mitchell reported application received from Joseph <br />' S. Harris of Concord Avenue, man born 1890 in England, lives <br />in house owned by Charles Mills. Formerly owned house in <br />Somerville, but lost house last July. Came here to live <br />on account of wife's sister living in Blossom Crest section. Harris <br />Somerville settlement. Man was locomotive fireman some <br />years ago, but of recent years ran a butcher wagon. Has <br />three children, and from appearances they are living <br />economically. It was decided to give him $9. per week aid. <br />In regard to Frank Faulkner of Winter Street, who formerly <br />received Soldier's Relief in Medford, and was also aided <br />on the Unemployment Relief, it was decided to -give him five Failkner <br />days per week work out of the Soldier's Relief account. <br />Mr. Faulkner has now become a Lexington case having gained <br />a settlement. <br />Michael Capron who lives with the Fullerton family, <br />informed Mr. Mitchell that he would be put out of the <br />Fullerton house if he did not pay his rent. He has had Capron <br />no work since Nov. 1st. It was decided to give him aid <br />to $6. per week and Mr. Mitchell was to get further information <br />relative to his settlement. <br />It was also left with Mr. Mitchell to check up on the Fuller - <br />income firs. Fullerton was getting from her boarders and adjust ton <br />the aid for the family accordingly. <br />
