98, <br />Application for the position of Chief of Polilce was <br />received from John G. Montieth, Chief of Police of Milford, N.H. <br />The application was not considered. <br />Mr. Tenney stated that some regulations should be made ' <br />in regard to parking cars. He suggested that the care parking <br />on Hancock Street should be parked on the right hand side of <br />Hancock Street going up. <br />In regard to making such regulations, Mr. Cotton agreed <br />to look up the statutes regarding same. <br />Mr. Scamman reported that the Standard Oil Co. would <br />furnish a gasoline tank and pump with a opacity of 280 gallons <br />to the town provided they would use their gasoline. <br />It was decid4rd to place liability insurance on the Highway <br />Department tractor and the same was placed through Jay 0. <br />Richards, broker. <br />Mr. Tenney suggested that Lowell Street and Hancock Street <br />should be patched at an early date. He also stated that he was <br />not satisfied with the patching done at the present time. <br />Mr. Price of the American Tar Co. offered his services to come <br />to Lexington and instruct as to how to do patching properly. <br />The Board decided to take advantage of Mr. Price's offer. - <br />It was voted to grant permission to the Edison Electric <br />Ill. Co. to attach its wires to fixtures of the N. E. T. &. T. <br />Co. on Woburn St. about 300 feet north of the Woburn Lexington ' <br />line on pole 11475. <br />The Chairman signed the schedule prepared by Mr. Hill of <br />the valuations of town buildings and contents, the same to be <br />filed 'Frith the application for reduction in rates. <br />The Clerk was directed to prepare list of precinct division <br />for the next meeting. <br />It was voted to grant a Common Victuallere License to <br />Jean C.
