MEETING, .APRIL 1B, 1922. <br />All Members Present. <br />The records of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />M. Joseph Carroll and Herman D. Fuller were drawn as Jurors. <br />Mr. O'Brien proprietor of the restaurant in the Viano Block <br />came before the Board relative to securing a permit to erect a <br />sign in front of the restaurant. <br />The Board requested him to put hie application in writing <br />so that they could act on the same. <br />Mr. Henry Travers of Ward Street came before the Board <br />relative to the complaint of Frank Canisius that Mr. Travers, <br />dog was killing his hens. He informed the Board that his dog <br />did not kill the hens but that they had some disease which they <br />died from. <br />It was voted to return to Mr. Edwin B. Worthen the insur- <br />ance held by him previous to hie becoming a Water &•Sewer Com- <br />missioner, said insurance being all policies carried by the <br />Water Department. Mr. Millard C. Hill, who was agreeable to <br />the arrangement, was notified to that effect. <br />In connection with the bid for painting Village Hall, it <br />was suggested that as long as Mr. Mara is not going to bid on <br />same, that he submit a ppecification for the Board to use so <br />that the best quality of paints could be called for in the bid. <br />Mr. Tenney reported that the Board met with the Arlington <br />Board of Public Works on Saturday last, and that the latter <br />Board agreed to consider.the problem of having the culvert on <br />the Munroe brook, about a mile down street from the corner of <br />Maple Street at land of Wheeler and Ryder removed. <br />Application.for a public garage was received from Ida H.B. <br />Capper of Middle Street. <br />The Board laid this matter on the table for one week. <br />It was left with Mr. Scamman to report the conditions <br />regarding the coal situation. <br />Complaint was received from W. F. Sim that Max Berman of <br />14 Mass. Ave. was selling tobacco on Sunday. It was found that <br />said Berman has a Victuallers License, and the Clerk was directed <br />to ascertain whether or not tobacco could be sold under the <br />Victuallers License. <br />The Selectmen were invited to review the parade from the <br />steps of the Town Hall on April 19th. <br />
