7 <br />adopt in relation to the collection of Taxes, the en- <br />suing year, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />ART. 14. To see if the Town will authorize its <br />Treasurer, under the direction of the Selectmen, to <br />borrow money for any necessary purposes in antici- <br />pation of the collection of taxes the current year, the <br />same to be paid directly from the proceeds of said <br />taxes, or act in any manner relating thereto. <br />ART. 15. To see if the Town will cause the Pub- <br />lic Street Lamps to be kept lighted until eleven and <br />one-half o'clock P.M., on a]1 dark nights, without <br />regard to the moon. <br />ART. 16. To see if the Town will make an appro- <br />priation for the proper observance of April 19, 1887. <br />ART. 17. To see if the Town will permit Lexing- <br />ton Savings Bank to continue the occupancy of the <br />rooms now occupied by said Bank, free of charge. <br />ART. 18. To see what measures the Town will <br />adopt in relation to procuring a supply of water for <br />the buildings of the Poor Farm, and appropriate <br />money therefor, or act in any manner relating <br />thereto. <br />ART. 19. To see if the Town will make an appro- <br />priation to repair the buildings at the Poor Farm. <br />ART. 20. To see if the Town will make an <br />appropriation to construct sidewalks with concrete <br />or other materia], where the abutters will pay one- <br />half the expense thereof. <br />ART. 21. To see if the Town will make an <br />appropriation for the purpose of draining around <br />the Common, where necessary. <br />ART. 22. To see if the Town will authorize the <br />8 <br />Selectmen to draw from any unappropriated money <br />in the Treasury for the payment of contingent <br />expenses. <br />ART. 23. To see if the Town will instruct the <br />Board of Health to take such measures as they may <br />deem expedient in regard to the meadows in East <br />Lexington, now owned and flowed by the Town <br />of Arlington. <br />Awr. 24. To see if the Town will abolish the <br />practice of appraising the property at the Poor Farm, <br />and adopt measures as recommended by the Select- <br />men in their report. <br />ART. 25. To see what measures the Town will <br />adopt in relation to accepting additional Street <br />Lamps. <br />ART. 26. To see if the Town will make an appro- <br />priation to build a driveway at the house of Stephen <br />L. Wright. <br />ART. 27. To see if the Town will cause the idle <br />teams at the Poor Farm to be used, especially in <br />winter, to clear the gutters and keep street crossings <br />in passable condition. <br />ART. 28. To see if the Town had not better <br />separate Highway Management and Overseers of <br />Poor from Selectmen, and choose persons to repair <br />the same. <br />ART. 29. To see if the Town will cause concrete <br />raised crossings to be constructed at points of great <br />travel. <br />ART. 30. To see if the Town will cause the gut- <br />ters on Main and important streets, to be so con- <br />structed as to carry off water as well as may be. <br />
