Sandy reported that she has received a quote of $500 from the Town printing facility for printing the <br />Patriots Weekend schedule, which the committee thought was very reasonable. Sandy mentioned <br />that the schedule has not yet been posted on the Town website and that she would contact the <br />webmaster again. <br />Paul reported that he will ask the Fire Department chief if the parade banners can be stored <br />temporarily at the East Lexington fire house for the 2 days before the parade. <br />Paul also said that he expects to be able to get radios from NEMA again this year, for use by the <br />committee during the afternoon parade. <br />Linda Dixon asked for suggestions from the committee on how to recognize sponsors who don’t get <br />banners in the parade. She also suggested that the committee should review the current sponsorship <br />prices and recognition process for next year. <br />Linda reported that parade ambassador recruiting will start soon. Linda and Karen Gaughan are <br />working on the recruiting. Kim offered to post the ambassador request at the High School. <br />Approval of Applications <br />No Fee (11 Units) <br />The Committee approved the following parade units with no fee involved: <br />Arlmont Fuel – antique fire truck <br />Chinese American Association of Lexington – 60 marchers <br />Dance Inn – 40 dancers plus truck for music <br />Lexington Lions Club – 7 ft. lion statue float, plus 1967 convertible (White Tricorne Hat winner) <br />LexPress + Community Center + Human Services – bus plus 20 marchers <br />National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution – 40 marchers, 20 ft. float, 3 vehicles <br />US Submarine Veterans, Marblehead – 12 marchers, submarine float <br />Hanscom AFB Honor Guard – 4 marchers <br />Liberty Ride – trolley, 20 riders <br />Menotomy Minutemen – 10 to 15 marchers, fifes and drums <br />Wagon Wheel – 30 ft. float with 20 ft. tow vehicle <br />Fee Requested (7 Units) – Same as 2016 <br />The Committee approved the following units and fees that represented no change from 2016: <br />th <br />HM 10 Regiment of Foot <br />Reminisants – 5 musicians on flatbed truck (Doug Orr truck) <br />Bedford Minutemen – marchers, plus fife and drum <br />Lexington Police Honor Guard, plus Lexington Police Explorers <br />New Liberty Jazz Band – 7 musicians <br /> <br />
