It was determined that checks for the breakfast should be made out to the Town of Lexington, with a <br />notation on the memo line that the check is for the TCC Veterans’ breakfast. <br />Veterans Day Parade and Program, November 11 <br />Linda Dixon presented the draft Veterans’ Day program developed by the program sub-committee. The <br />separate items were discussed and approved by the committee. <br />Rich McDonough and Glen Bassett will be co-MCs for the program. <br />Bill Mix suggested that the program sub-committee ask Dick Michelson if the bell from the USS <br />Lexington can be used to ring 11 times during the moment of silence at the start of the program. <br />Rich McD reminded the program sub-committee to add to the MC’s script a request that everyone in the <br />audience silence their cell phones. <br />Julie Miller reported that she spoke with the “Remembering Lexington” group about interviewing <br />Purple Heart recipients. <br />Linda D showed the committee the invitation to the Veterans Day ceremonies created by Kim Coburn. <br />The invitation will be sent to all identified Lexington veterans. <br />New Action Items <br />Suzanne Caton and Karen Gaughan: <br /> follow up on identifying how many sandwich boards will be available <br />from Hank Manz, their size, and method of attaching the posters (place signs on October 29).
