<br /> <br /> <br />Semiquincentennial Commission (Lex250) <br />June 14, 2023 Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice duly filed with the Town Clerk, the Semiquincentennial Commission <br />(Lex250) convened in a hybrid meeting in the Parker Room at the Town Office Building and via <br />Zoom video conference on Wednesday, June 14 at 4:31 pm by Ms. Barry as allowed by <br />legislation (S.2475) extending the suspension of certain provisions of the Massachusetts Open <br />Meeting Law. <br /> <br />Present in person: <br />Suzie Barry, Select Board Member, Chair <br />Jillian Tung, Music & Arts Representative, Clerk <br />Julie O’Leary, Civic Representative <br />Steve Conners, Reenactment Community Representative <br />Noah Michelson, Community Representative <br />Barry Cunha, Business Representative <br /> <br />Present remotely: <br />Cerise Jalelian, Town Celebrations Committee Representative <br />Mona Roy, Community Representative, Vice Chair <br /> <br />● The meeting was called to order at 4:31 pm by Ms. Barry <br />● Approval of June 7 minutes <br />○ A motion to approve the minutes of the June 7, 2023 meeting was made by Ms. <br />Barry and approved by roll call vote <br />● Community Engagement update <br />○ Jeff Leonard confirmed that the Lexington Bicentennial Band will perform on <br />Saturday, April 19, at Lexington High School. <br />○ LBBB will perform together with the Concord Band. The combined band will <br />present one concert in Lexington and one in Concord. <br />● Publicity update <br />○ Dr. Tung will update the flyer and send a pdf to the publicity team for printing <br />○ Lex 250 buttons and stickers for distribution to the public will be ordered. <br />● ARPA funding update <br />○ Group discussed memo sent by Town Manager Jim Malloy regarding use of <br />ARPA funds <br />○ ARPA money could be used for: <br />■ infrastructure <br />■ DPW needs <br />■ Staffing (hire consultant or short term contract, or overtime) <br />■ Lex 250 events <br />● Intermunicipal agreement update <br /> <br />
