<br />313212Opw-21;21bn <br />313425Nbs-23;32qn <br />HOUSING PARTNERSHIP BOARD <br />Members: 13 voting members <br />Liaisons: 4, as noted below <br />MembersAppointedBy: Select Board <br />Length of Term: Three years for voting members <br />Appointments Made: September 30 <br />Meeting Times: As posted <br />Quorum:Quorum shall be a majority of members serving <br />Description: The Charge of the Housing Partnership Board is to promote and support production <br />and preservation of housing, including low and moderate income, older persons, and workforce <br />housing. The Housing Partnership Board will bring together committees, groups, and housing <br />advocates to create a unified and focused approach to achieve housing goals in Lexington. <br />Responsibilities: The Housing Partnership Board will work with other community organizations <br />to support housing goals. The Housing Partnership Board will support these goals by taking the <br />following actions: <br />1.Identify local, state, and federal housing resources available to individuals seeking <br />housing. <br />2.Identify local, state, and federal housing resources available to relevant Town Boards. <br />Town Committees, and other Town entities, and other relevant local organizations. <br />3.Advocate for land use, regulations, and zoning bylaws to increase the housing stock. <br />4.Increase public awareness of the need for affordable housing through public information <br />and forums. <br />5.Assist with land or properties acquisition suitable for development of housing. <br />6.Make recommendations on proposals that do or could include a housing component, <br />7.Advise the Select Board, Planning Board, and other Town entities to aid in their decision- <br />making process regarding housing. This will include decisions respecting implementation <br />of Objectives, Strategies, and Potential Actions identified in the housing section of the <br />2022 Comprehensive Plan. <br />8.Provide input to local housing organizations. <br />9.Support adherence to federal and state Fair Housing Laws. <br />Criteria for Membership: The Housing Partnership will consist of thirteen voting members and <br />four liaisons. Voting members will include individuals recommended by: <br />1.Planning Board <br />2.Council on Aging <br />3.Lexington Housing Authority <br />4.Lexington Housing Assistance Board (LexHAB) <br />The following boards and committees will be asked to name liaisons to the Housing Partnership <br />Board: <br />1.Select Board <br /> <br />
