Town of Lexington, Semiquincentennial Commission (Lex250) <br /> <br />Meeting on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 <br />Hosted Virtually via Zoom <br />3:36 pm-5:07 pm <br /> <br />Members Present: Suzie Barry (Select Board Member), Steve Cole joined@3:45PM (Community <br />Representative), Steven Conners (Reenactment Community Representative), Barry Cunha (Local <br />Business Representative), Bebe Fallick (Tourism Committee Representative), Cerise Jalelian <br />(Town Celebrations Committee Representative), Julie O’Leary (Civic Representative), Paul <br />O’Shaughnessy (Historical Organization Representative), Mona Roy (Community <br />Representative), <br />Members Absent: Jillian Tung (Music and Arts Representative) <br />Guests: Michael Froning (American Battle Field Trust) <br /> <br />1. Meeting called to order by Ms. Barry at 3:36 pm <br />2. Prior meeting minutes <br />• First order of business was to vote on accepting meeting minutes from prior <br />meetings. <br />• Motion to accept minutes from 04/13/2022 and 4/27/2022 meetings by Ms. Barry, <br />seconded by several members, approved by all members present <br />3. Discovery Day <br />• To be held on May 28th, 2022, along Mass Ave, Lex250 has applied for a space <br />• Julie O’Leary has volunteered to help organize the Lex250 space, Mona to help as <br />well. The exact location will be provided a couple of days before the event. <br />• Julie, Mona, Paul, Cerise, and Steve Cole indicated that they would be available to <br />man the Lex250 booth. Schedule to be finalize at the next meeting on May 25th. <br />4. Outreach Meeting <br />• Barry Cunha reported that the depot was only available for one of the two time slots <br />• Suzie Barry suggested using the lawn in front of the Lexington Visitors Center , she <br />will check with the town about using the space <br />• Mona, Cerise, and Paul to help coordinate materials for the outreach meeting <br />• Need to capture volunteer information, preferably electronically <br />5. Logo <br />• The logo to be trademarked, the Town of Lexington will outsource t o their legal <br />firms, A&K and Barton (?) <br />• Work is expected to be completed before the end of June for approximately $2k <br />6. Budget Update <br />• Reviewed the budget categories <br />• Discussed contracting for a web site design (coordinate with Sean Dugan from the <br />town)
