The damage amounted to 507. 2 and <br /> has been paid to the Town by the insurance company. Mr. Carroll <br /> explained that the Road Machinery account is running very close and he <br /> asked to have the amount spent for repairs transferred to that account. <br /> The Board of Selectmen voted to request the Appropriation Committee to <br /> consider transferring the sum of $507.$2 from the Reserve Fund to the <br /> Road Machinery Account. A motion was made and so voted to transfer from <br /> the Reserve Fund, the sum of $507.$2 to the Road Machinery account. <br /> A letter from the Board of Selectmen requesting the Appropriation Committee <br /> to consider a transfer of $1,023 .65 from the Reserve Fund to the Elections- <br /> Jurisdiction Selectmen account and another transfer of $$50.00 from the <br /> Reserve Fund to the Selectmen's expense account. A motion was made and <br /> so voted. <br /> The Appropriation Committee is to meet on December 18, 1961 at $:00 P. M- <br /> at which time the Capital Expenditures Committee is invited to attend. <br /> Messrs. Harold E. Roeder and William P. Fitzgerald, Fire Commissioners <br /> entered the meeting at 9:45 %). M. to discuss and go over their budgets. <br /> The Commissioners spoke on their budgets generally. It was stated that <br /> their men get an increase on their annual employment dates. Sick leave <br /> was discussed and now on account of new policy adopted by the Town they <br /> feel more men now will be out sick. It was stated that the Deputy Chief <br /> Engineer makes more money than the Chief Engineer due to over-time. To <br /> November 23rd inclusive the amount is 56,577.11 for theDeputy Chief <br /> plus salary to December 31, 1961 or 5680.63 will make a total of S7,258.3L <br /> Also the Commissioners are asking for three additional men this year. <br /> There are nine men at the station on Bedford St. and four men at East <br /> Lexington per shift. It was stated that the firemen cannot paint <br /> outside of building unless they have a license. <br /> Budget sheet '5-C was correcteds <br /> Forest Fires- Wages & Expenses, no questions on this budget. <br /> Requested by Frank Douglas, Maurice Shaughnessy and Logan Clarke Jr. for <br /> copies of November 2nd minutes of meeting. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 11:05 P.
