225 <br /> APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> DATE: May 3, 1976 <br /> TANTE: 7 :30 P.M. <br /> PLACE: Cary Hall <br /> PRESENT: Edward E. Furash, Chairman, Donald B. White , Vice Chairman- <br /> Schools, J. H. Blaisdell, Secretary, Martin Gilman, <br /> Peter Hall, Mitzi Kutchin, Patricia Hagadorn, Howard L. <br /> Levingston <br /> RESERVE FUND: $22,111.88 <br /> I. Minutes of the April 26, 1976 Appropriation Committee meeting <br /> were read by Secretary Blaisdell and were approved by said <br /> Committee. <br /> II . DPW <br /> The Appropriation Committee hereby amends the motion of <br /> February 9, 1976 of a $25,000 transfer from the Reserve <br /> Fund to Account 5500 Snow Removal to read the sum of $11,907.12. <br /> Upon motions duly made and seconded, <br /> the above was so VOTED. <br /> The Chairman requested that the minutes show receipt of a <br /> letter dated April 16, 1976, from Town Counsel Norman Cohen <br /> of Palmer & Dodge which stated that the above action was <br /> lawful and recommended. (letter on file) <br /> III . RESERVE FUND TRANSFER <br /> Upon motions duly made and seconded, <br /> it was moved to transfer the amount of <br /> $5,000 from the Reserve Fund to Account <br /> 5450 - Road Machinery. <br /> SO VOTED <br /> IV. FIRE & POLICE <br /> Town Manager O'Connell stated that as of this date , the <br /> two unsettled union groups were fire and police . <br /> V. ARTICLE V <br /> a. Changing total to include fire department was discussed. <br /> b. Any increase for temporary help or overtime will be put <br /> into Article V. <br /> c. Chairman Furash stated he did not like the "lumping <br /> together" here. However, Town Manager O'Connell stated <br />
