Shriners Minicars
• Suzie e- mailed Bob Barber regarding his entry of military vehicles. There is nothing
to report at this time.
• Sondra Lucente contacted LL Bean about the boot. One boot is definitely not
available, and the company is not certain about the availability of the second.
• Suzie will make Patriots' Day job assignments in a few weeks.
• Parade ambassadors. Linda Dixon reports that eleven volunteers have signed on so
far for a total of five teams (teams comprise one middle school, three high school
and one adult).
Veterans' Breakfast and Veterans' Day 2014
• Dick Crogan is contacting Ryan Lennon in order to launch plans for the upcoming
breakfast.
• Where to hold the breakfast and setting a date need to be determined. Members
discussed possible locations in both towns (i.e., First Church of Christ, Bedford; Armory,
Lexington) since the breakfast became a joint effort with Bedford last year.
Other Business
• Suzie mentioned that Cary Hall will be closing for renovations sometime this summer,
either June or July, for two years. Committee discussed alternate indoor locations to
hold ceremonies when the weather is inclement. Some suggestions were Grace Chapel
and National Heritage Museum.
• The committee is still considering jackets in time for Patriots' Day. Sandy Podgorski will
look for any made in America.
Meeting adjourned at 8:38 pm
Respectfully submitted by Sandy Podgorski
