<br /> <br /> <br />Permissions. All permissions needed for presenting the parade have been granted. <br /> <br /> <br />Media. Linda Dixon and Sandy Podgorski volunteered to coordinate contact with the <br /> <br />media (newspapers, town website, etc.) in order to apprise the community of <br />upcoming events. <br /> <br />Afternoon Parade <br /> <br />Applications. No additional applications have been received, though a lot are <br /> <br />o <br />still unanswered. <br />th <br />Chief Marshal. A motion was made to accept the suggestion of the 300 <br /> <br />o <br />Committee to select representatives from the different categories typifying <br />Lexington (education, culture, farms, founding families, etc.) to fill the role. The <br />th <br />300 Committee, a subcommittee of the Town Celebrations Committee, will <br />undertake the project. The motion passed and was accepted. <br />Hallamore. Sondra Lucente reported that Hallamore cannot accept our <br /> <br />o <br />counteroffered fee for participation in this year’s parade. After discussion, the <br />committee decided to pay their asking fee. A motion was made to pay the <br />asking fee; it passed and was accepted. <br />Wells Fargo. Sondra will follow up with the group. <br /> <br />o <br />Sponsorship. There is nothing new to report. <br /> <br />o <br />Vehicles. Suzie reported for Paul Jenkins that (1) he spoke with Mike Greeley <br /> <br />o <br />and Mike is willing to negotiate a fee for bringing the Bren carrier and Ferret <br />armored scout car; (2) Bob Barber will bring the same vehicles as last year, and <br />possibly a Duck as well; (3) George Debonas will commit soon to including his <br />tank; and (4) The Arlmont Fuel truck, a Model A and, quite possibly, a 1920’s <br />motorcycle will be added to the lineup. <br />Transportation Needs. (1) Six Minutemen will need rides and will supply their <br /> <br />o <br />own cars. (2) Paul Rose has a race car flatbed truck available which could <br />accommodate the Reminisants. <br />Parade Ambassadors. Linda reported that she has a press release prepared <br /> <br />o <br />that will be published soon in the Colonial Times. An online form will be live next <br />week. A recruitment letter will be mailed next week to last year’s ambassadors. <br />Terms and instructions for commitment are available and clearly spelled out. <br /> <br />Events and Morning Parade, Monday, April 15 <br />th <br /> <br />Schedule. A first draft of the schedule of the day’s events is now available. See <br /> <br />below. <br /> <br />Morning Parade. <br /> <br />Chief Marshal and Masters-of-Ceremony. The Youth Commission will <br /> <br />o <br />provide representatives for each. <br /> <br /> <br />
